Travel Wish List and Activities.
Travel has always been a thing for me. I feel the need to explore. My spirit is lifted when I am in and experiencing other cultures. I feel that my understanding of the world and its inhabitants, has the most growth when I actually experience it.
I love finding similarities between cultures and I love seeing the differences. I want to taste the food, hear the music, meet the people and see the land. I want to do this into my old age. My Popop had a world map hanging on his hallway wall. I loved this old map. It had pins in it for every place he and my Nana had traveled together. I would stare at that map for a while each time I went over to their house. To travel, I think, equals freedom. They were world travelers up until he couldn’t anymore. Two trips he often mentioned were Morocco and Japan.
I am less interested in the tourist attractions. I want to visit the “real” parts of the world, where people go about their every day lives. I want to capture some of that in photographs. Included in my travel wish-list are a few items from my Activities Wish List as well.
