365 Project

  • I was introduced to Photography 365 Projects, and I immediately liked the concept. There aren’t really and steadfast rules, just timeline and a platform. I decided to use a random list of “things to photograph” as my project guide and a sprinkle of my thoughts along with it.

One random subject (and my thoughts) everyday.

  • "Locks"

I’ve always had a hard time loving my hair. It’s curly, big and wild, free, strong and vibrant. But I stifle it. I straighten, clip, pull back and tie up. Oh, to embrace my authentic buoyancy - what a joy that would be. (Nov 15)

  • "Mushrooms"

I can’t decide if I like mushrooms or am disgusted by them. (Nov 16)

  • "Church"

As non-traditionally-religious I am, I love churches. There is something comfortable and familiar about them. (Nov 17)

  • "Noodles"

Noodles, in particular, come in all shapes and sizes. Which noodle are you? (Nov 18)

  • "Balloons"

I had really grand plans for this assignment; young child buying a red balloon from a mustachioed street vendor with many colorful balloons surrounding the two. The exchange of dollars for a smile, as the child skips away with glee during the golden hour.

Alas, I had to simplify. (Nov 19)

  • "Knife"

When the word knife originated, it was pronounced “kaniffa,” so they kept the silent K and silent E. Respect! (Nov 20)

  • "Arches"

This is a photo taken from inside a moving vehicle, going through an arched tunnel. (Nov 21)

  • "Food"

Expires (Nov 22), I better get to it.
